Snack sourcing from China is not only a bag on a table. Buyers usually need both the product and the line that makes it — samples, texture, and the machine behind the output.

This video is a walk through a trade fair in China covering snack lines. It shows samples on display and production equipment on the floor, including extrusion-type lines used for snack output. This trade-fair visit shows the first screening stage in China: samples on display and the production equipment behind them. On a client order, the shortlisted lines go through supplier verification, specification approval and pre-shipment QC before import to the UAE.

What the floor can show

A fair lets you see the snack itself and the machine in the same visit: shape, finish, how samples are presented, and how the exhibitor talks about capacity.

That is more useful than a product photo alone. It still does not confirm who manufactures the line, what oil or seasoning the factory will run in volume, or how the goods will be packed for the UAE.

From the stand to a shortlist

After the fair the sequence stays the same:

See the sample and the line → separate traders from manufacturers where that can be checked → match output to the brief → build a shortlist for the UAE buyer.

The aim is not to collect every sample bag. It is to take forward lines that can actually run the product the buyer wants.

Where this sits in the process

This visit is the first screening stage. On a client order, the next stages are supplier verification and, where the brief requires it, a factory audit, followed by specification approval and pre-shipment QC before import to the UAE. Those stages work from a usable brief: product type, capacity, packing and destination.
