Project case

From an Abu Dhabi brief to a working machine in China

Industrial embroidery and quilting equipment

An Abu Dhabi manufacturer needed industrial equipment for continuous textile production: multi-colour embroidery and decorative quilting, not a catalogue “embroidery machine.”

GulfCN searched Chinese manufacturers against the brief and inspected the equipment in operation in China.

The buyer stays in Abu Dhabi. The factory work is in China.

Trade fair — embroidery and quilting

The brief

The client needed industrial multi-head embroidery and quilting equipment for continuous production on textile rolls.

What the brief required:

  • Industrial construction for long production cycles
  • Multiple thread positions for multi-colour work
  • Large working width for textile rolls
  • Continuous fabric feed
  • Automatic thread control and tension
  • Digital control
  • Stable stitching on different textile materials
  • Spare parts and technical support
  • A manufacturer able to export to the UAE

The job was to find a real manufacturer in China — not a trading company reselling someone else’s machine.

Search in China

The search was against the production process, not a keyword.

We screened for:

  1. Own production facilities
  2. Configuration that matched the intended process
  3. Industrial capacity, not workshop equipment
  4. Mechanical structure, thread management, needle assemblies and fabric feed
  5. Export experience for a UAE destination

Beyond the catalogue

A website photo does not answer whether the machine runs as claimed.

GulfCN’s China-side team inspected the equipment and recorded it in operation: multiple thread positions running together while fabric fed continuously through the working area.

The inspection showed:

  • Multiple embroidery heads / needle positions
  • Continuous fabric feeding
  • Multi-colour thread setup
  • Automatic thread tension
  • Industrial control modules
  • Continuous decorative stitching on textile material

The equipment inspected was manufactured by Dadao Machinery.

Why the inspection matters

For an overseas buyer the open questions are practical:

  • Is this the manufacturer?
  • Does the machine run as advertised?
  • Can it handle the client’s material?
  • How stable is it in continuous operation?
  • Can the factory support spare parts and after-sales?

The process on this project:

Technical brief → manufacturer search → supplier screening → factory / equipment inspection → production demonstration → commercial comparison → export coordination if the client proceeds

The client did not need to visit dozens of factories in China.

What we checked

Manufacturer — company background, production facility, manufacturing capability, export experience, equipment range.

Machine — configuration, number of heads/needles, working width, fabric feed, control system, thread management, production behaviour.

Commercial — price, options, spare parts, packing, lead time, payment terms.

Export — packing, dimensions, weight, documents, delivery arrangements with the freight forwarder.

Status now

The equipment was inspected and filmed in China against the Abu Dhabi brief. Next steps are commercial comparison and export talks if the client proceeds. Not a closed shipment on this page.
